it's sunday.

today is sunday.
one week from today, i'll be worsh!p!ng at Covenant Life.
life without ch-rch is hard that i could have imagined...
there's something about the community, about the
corporate worsh!p, about gathering in the house of the Almighty.

as these days fly by, i find myself more and more
dreading the hour that i'll leave this country that i've
fallen in love with. there's no question to the fact that
part of my heart will stay here with these beautiful
people, there's no question in my mind as to whether
i'll return someday--i will. and while the departure is
hard, i'm so incredibly excited for the arrival! to hug
my mama and dad and my big brother and my baby
sisters and sleep in a real bed and tell of the
marvelous things that our Father accomplished in this
country. and sunday at Covenant Life? I CANNOT WAIT.
i probably cry like a baby, i'll probably wonder if all the
people around me know how good they have it, wonder
if they appreciate the freedom they have. CLC family,
I am beyond excited to be with you all in a week.

on tuesday i'll say goodbye to my home and on thursday
i'll say goodbye to my beautiful new country, and it won't
be easy and it won't be fun, and i'd definitely appreciate
your pr-yers in the coming days.

the past days have been bittersweet, but i know beyond
a shadow of a doubt that i serve a faithful and good G-d,
and as far as the heavens are above the earth, so are His
ways higher than my ways and His thoughts higher than
my thoughts. his plans are perfect.

my pr-yer for this nation as i prepare to leave echos
the words of a song that i never appreciated as a child:
Shine, J, Shine!
Fill this land with the Father's glory!
Blaze, Sp!r!t, Blaze,
Set our hearts on fire!
Flow, river, flow!
Flood the nations with grace and mercy!
Send forth your word, L,
and let there be light!

  2. i think tears are an appropriate response :) be prepared for how "new" everyone's clothes will look (especially if you wear something that's been overseas all year!).
